My Handmade Tea Tray

Made this baby all by myself. Just finished putting the last coat of waterproof finish on it. Hopefully it dries completely by the end of the day so I get to try it out tonight.

Edit:  Testing it later in the afternoon.

  1. Nice work! What kind of wood did you use? It looks kind of like chopping block.

  2. @CloudMountain I thought about chopping block but ended up using pine from a local craft store. I chose pine because it's softer and easier to work with for this first experimental project. I learned a lot from this project. I'll see how long this one last. I am guessing it should last quite a while since I heavily waterproofed it. For the next project I may use harder wood like cherry or redwood.
